A daily record of gratitude; from quilting to photography to a mix of technology, books, movies and the musings of life!

Welcome to my Blog of my daily gratitude and photo of the day!

Since January 1, 2012, my goal is to write a daily sentence or two (or paragraph or two) about gratitude of the day and to include one photo (at least) that I took that day (but will add others from time to time). It has definitely been a challenge most days throughout the past eight years, and welcomed the challenge again this year - 2020 - Covid and all. I hope you will continue the ride with me!

The Kid Loves Wings

This evening was another celebratory dinner out for Ryan's eight year post bone marrow transplant/or other "Birthday". This, of course, was made possible by a very generous man named Scott Harris of NYC. Scott took the initiative while in college to become a member of the National Marrow Donor Program, and at that time, the program was in its infancy.

Eight years ago Ryan was one of approximately 20,000 recipients world wide in getting a BMT. Due to the ongoing campaign of getting more and more people in the registry, they are close to 30,000 transplants world wide today! Now that's something to celebrate.

Another Big Shout of Thanks to Scott Harris for making it possible for a young 10 year old boy to become an 18 year old young adult!

BSoleille!
Terri
