A daily record of gratitude; from quilting to photography to a mix of technology, books, movies and the musings of life!

Welcome to my Blog of my daily gratitude and photo of the day!

Since January 1, 2012, my goal is to write a daily sentence or two (or paragraph or two) about gratitude of the day and to include one photo (at least) that I took that day (but will add others from time to time). It has definitely been a challenge most days throughout the past eight years, and welcomed the challenge again this year - 2020 - Covid and all. I hope you will continue the ride with me!

Autumnal Quilt Retreat

A great weekend to spend quilting at West River for the "no frills" retreat. There are 23 of us and the machines have been humming since 1:00 pm. All of us are working on our own projects with a twist to do blocks for the relief effort in New Jersey from Hurricane Sandy.

As quilters, most of us have large stashes of fabric, books and notions. So it was great for us that Charlotte K. brought many boxes from her mothers stash from Texas for us to "enhance" our stashes. It's a never ending cycle of acquiring more and more fabric!

My photo is of Charlotte and her Mother's stash for our perusal and purchase at a huge discount!

BSoleille! The bright side of stash enhancement!
