A daily record of gratitude; from quilting to photography to a mix of technology, books, movies and the musings of life!

Welcome to my Blog of my daily gratitude and photo of the day!

Since January 1, 2012, my goal is to write a daily sentence or two (or paragraph or two) about gratitude of the day and to include one photo (at least) that I took that day (but will add others from time to time). It has definitely been a challenge most days throughout the past eight years, and welcomed the challenge again this year - 2020 - Covid and all. I hope you will continue the ride with me!

Successful Gathering

The Hem/Onc Pediatric Advisory Board I am on at Georgetown University Hospital had our first event today with an informal gathering of "Alumni Parents" of childhood cancer survivors. I am thankful that 21 people came out to share thoughts and ideas in dealing with many aspects of late effects of their child's treatment- parent to parent.  And even though every child and their parents' or caregivers travel their own unique path (medically), our journeys remain quite similar as our hope includes recovery and remission on all fronts. Sometimes it's not easy, but the take away today was we do not have to travel this alone. There are many people to lean on if needed and many resources for success!
