A daily record of gratitude; from quilting to photography to a mix of technology, books, movies and the musings of life!

Welcome to my Blog of my daily gratitude and photo of the day!

Since January 1, 2012, my goal is to write a daily sentence or two (or paragraph or two) about gratitude of the day and to include one photo (at least) that I took that day (but will add others from time to time). It has definitely been a challenge most days throughout the past eight years, and welcomed the challenge again this year - 2020 - Covid and all. I hope you will continue the ride with me!

Broken Promises

A couple years ago I hurt my shoulder shoveling very heavy snow, and it took a long time to heal. At that point I stated to my family I will never shovel again. I shoveled today and broke that promise even though my son has been doing a good job of it. I just felt I needed to break up some ice and clear more of the walkway, especially near the mailbox. With more snow on its way, I am not making any promises of doing any more (or never). Isn't spring right around the corner?  My last thought is it will melt eventually, so that is my story and I am sticking to it!

BSoleille!  The bright side of a cleared (non iced) sidewalk!
