A daily record of gratitude; from quilting to photography to a mix of technology, books, movies and the musings of life!

Welcome to my Blog of my daily gratitude and photo of the day!

Since January 1, 2012, my goal is to write a daily sentence or two (or paragraph or two) about gratitude of the day and to include one photo (at least) that I took that day (but will add others from time to time). It has definitely been a challenge most days throughout the past eight years, and welcomed the challenge again this year - 2020 - Covid and all. I hope you will continue the ride with me!

WIP and Watercolor

In quilters lingo, a WIP is a Work in Progress. Most quilters have many WIPS in progress (including me)...so you’ve really got to stick it out to finish them! And that therein lies the beauty...the completed project.

My first photo is a WIP, but the second photo is an aside (and finished) easy peasy watercolor that fellow retreat goer, Misty Cole, and I did to break up the day of sewing. The view at West River can’t be beat, so we left our WIPS and sewing machines behind for a quick minute and sketched the scene before us. This is my attempt and super fun to do!

BSoleille!
