A daily record of gratitude; from quilting to photography to a mix of technology, books, movies and the musings of life!

Welcome to my Blog of my daily gratitude and photo of the day!

Since January 1, 2012, my goal is to write a daily sentence or two (or paragraph or two) about gratitude of the day and to include one photo (at least) that I took that day (but will add others from time to time). It has definitely been a challenge most days throughout the past eight years, and welcomed the challenge again this year - 2020 - Covid and all. I hope you will continue the ride with me!

13 Years Post PBMT

Thirteen years ago, Ryan had one hour down as his, MUD (match unrelated donor), Scott Harris’s precious blood and marrow was infused into Ryan’s veins (catherter) while undergoing a Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant at Duke University Hospital. Many emotions that day, but thankful today and always, to the many folks from near and far to help Ryan and our family to string 13 years together.

How did we do this? I’ll tell you; One. Day. At. A. Time. A huge shout of THANKS to everyone who played a part of the crazy journey!

BSoleille! The bright side of witnessing Ryan’s restored health!

Seems like yesterday you and your family were at Duke, while our bee prayed for you. Glad he is doing so well.
