A daily record of gratitude; from quilting to photography to a mix of technology, books, movies and the musings of life!

Welcome to my Blog of my daily gratitude and photo of the day!

Since January 1, 2012, my goal is to write a daily sentence or two (or paragraph or two) about gratitude of the day and to include one photo (at least) that I took that day (but will add others from time to time). It has definitely been a challenge most days throughout the past eight years, and welcomed the challenge again this year - 2020 - Covid and all. I hope you will continue the ride with me!

University of Maryland Visit

My son Ryan and I were invited to speak on behalf of Special Love Camps (for kids with cancer) to a public  policy/philanthropy class on UMD College Park campus. CEO Dave Smith was also there, along with one other camp family. The class is in the process of selecting and grant writing for a worthy cause and Special Love is in the mix!  Ryan did another stellar job of explaining all the high points the various camps SL offers to kids with cancer, and hopefully, swaying the group toward "investing" in this wonderful organization. From the question and answer "session" it seems like the students are ready to get on board with this one!

BSoleille!  The bright side of "How How"!
