A daily record of gratitude; from quilting to photography to a mix of technology, books, movies and the musings of life!

Welcome to my Blog of my daily gratitude and photo of the day!

Since January 1, 2012, my goal is to write a daily sentence or two (or paragraph or two) about gratitude of the day and to include one photo (at least) that I took that day (but will add others from time to time). It has definitely been a challenge most days throughout the past eight years, and welcomed the challenge again this year - 2020 - Covid and all. I hope you will continue the ride with me!

A OK

A few (maybe a couple) years ago one of my daughter's friend's, Katie, came over to the house with a huge bag of black felt, fiberfill and purple cotton fabric. She wanted me to make her three pillows with "K", "O", and "A" initials on them using the purple. That project got buried until today when I furiously worked on the three pillows requested and a "bonus" pillow. You see, Katie left a torn up sweatshirt in the bottom of the huge bag she had the supplies in. I was not sure what it was for, but I thought I could cut up the sweatshirt a little more and make another pillow. When I met for a Mom's "Pheen" dinner tonight, her Mom, Pat, and Angie were loving the sweatshirt pillow more than the lettered ones!  Who knew that pillow was the hit of the night?

BSoleille!  The bright side of what Angie described as a "genius" move on the pillow front.
