A daily record of gratitude; from quilting to photography to a mix of technology, books, movies and the musings of life!

Welcome to my Blog of my daily gratitude and photo of the day!

Since January 1, 2012, my goal is to write a daily sentence or two (or paragraph or two) about gratitude of the day and to include one photo (at least) that I took that day (but will add others from time to time). It has definitely been a challenge most days throughout the past eight years, and welcomed the challenge again this year - 2020 - Covid and all. I hope you will continue the ride with me!

#Celebrating The Brave

I would be remiss in these turbulent times in not giving a shout out of THANKS to the thousands of brave souls on the front lines of this world wide pandemic we are all facing! Taking the Hippocratic Oath to become a Medical Doctor, and being admitted to the medical profession has suddenly become a very solemn pledge to consecrate their lives to the service of humanity. This has certainly become more profound, especially with the newly graduated, in these tragic times of COVID-19.

And that is just the tip of the iceberg of everyone who has heroically sacrificed themselves, and sadly, even their lives as they try to help others. It's the most selfless act anyone can do for their fellow man, and I applaud each and every one of them doing what they have promised to do in their profession.

So please help me in saluting (and if inclined to do so: pray for) the BRAVE Doctors, Nurses, Technicians, Medical staffers, Therapists, Law Enforcement Officers, Lab Technicians, Pharmacists and Pharmacy Assistants, Scientists and Researchers, Manufacturers, Delivery Drivers, Soldiers and Airmen (and National Guard), First Responders, Grocery Store Employees, Civil Servants, Small Business Owners, Community Volunteers, Educators, Sanitation Workers, Farmers and Restaurant Staff! WE all need you immensely and appreciate all that you do for the American people around our great country and around the clock each day.

BSoleille! The bright side of not only #celebrating the brave, but how about the bravest!?
