A daily record of gratitude; from quilting to photography to a mix of technology, books, movies and the musings of life!

Welcome to my Blog of my daily gratitude and photo of the day!

Since January 1, 2012, my goal is to write a daily sentence or two (or paragraph or two) about gratitude of the day and to include one photo (at least) that I took that day (but will add others from time to time). It has definitely been a challenge most days throughout the past eight years, and welcomed the challenge again this year - 2020 - Covid and all. I hope you will continue the ride with me!

Memorial Day Tournaments

Youth sports played all year round typically have tournaments most holiday weekends, including Memorial Day weekend. For soccer, the VA/DC/MD region has over 1000 games being played in four days. So far I have refereed eight games (U15 Boys), with four more assigned tomorrow to finish up the Columbia Memorial Day Tournament. The soccer is great with explosive play from the first whistle due to the 30 minute halves. Four hours of soccer "flies" by for sure, and I am thankful for the fast pace on most of the games thus far, with all teams still standing after all that tough play on the pitch.

BSoleille!
