A daily record of gratitude; from quilting to photography to a mix of technology, books, movies and the musings of life!

Welcome to my Blog of my daily gratitude and photo of the day!

Since January 1, 2012, my goal is to write a daily sentence or two (or paragraph or two) about gratitude of the day and to include one photo (at least) that I took that day (but will add others from time to time). It has definitely been a challenge most days throughout the past eight years, and welcomed the challenge again this year - 2020 - Covid and all. I hope you will continue the ride with me!

Airport Folly

This summer has been hot and humid and very little rain across the nation the past few weeks. On my son's annual trip to Ohio to visit family, the skies over Western PA decided to wreak havoc on flights yesterday on his return home. The poor kid waited by himself for 8 hours in Cleveland as the airline kept delaying his flight until 7:30pm when they finally cancelled it.

I am thankful for bluer skies today and his safe return home early this afternoon.

In spite of it all, Ryan was in a great mood when he was picked up after spending 8 hours in the airport. He met people and had stories to tell. Not exactly one that you would pick, but what a memory it will be for him. We tracked his flight and were very happy to see that his plane had taken off and that it arrived safely. We really enjoyed his visit with us!
