A daily record of gratitude; from quilting to photography to a mix of technology, books, movies and the musings of life!

Welcome to my Blog of my daily gratitude and photo of the day!

Since January 1, 2012, my goal is to write a daily sentence or two (or paragraph or two) about gratitude of the day and to include one photo (at least) that I took that day (but will add others from time to time). It has definitely been a challenge most days throughout the past eight years, and welcomed the challenge again this year - 2020 - Covid and all. I hope you will continue the ride with me!

Can We Sew with a Mountain View?

Nine strong are at a "rustic" log cabin mountain view home near Harpers Ferry, West Virginia, for a quilt retreat weekend with spectacular views of the Shenandoah Mountains. Sew...can we break from the view and get down to business and sew? That is the question, but I think our very industrious bee will try our collective "darndest" and get our projects done, and if not done, pretty close to being done for sure.

This afternoon, two of our bee-mates arrived at the cabin a wee bit earlier than the rest and quickly texted that this cabin is in the "boonies", and they were so correct. Thankfully, we have strong WiFi and an abundance of food (we found it's too scary to drive these curvy and "mountainous" roads at night with no lighting whatsoever to even consider going out to dinner!).

Sew thankful that with plenty of fabric, projects, food, opinions, advice, laughter, inspiration, and mentorship with nine incredible women, it's going to go by fast but will be awesome!
