A daily record of gratitude; from quilting to photography to a mix of technology, books, movies and the musings of life!

Welcome to my Blog of my daily gratitude and photo of the day!

Since January 1, 2012, my goal is to write a daily sentence or two (or paragraph or two) about gratitude of the day and to include one photo (at least) that I took that day (but will add others from time to time). It has definitely been a challenge most days throughout the past eight years, and welcomed the challenge again this year - 2020 - Covid and all. I hope you will continue the ride with me!

Independence Day

I'm thankful to live in a country of independence at 240 years old and going strong! Happy Birthday America! Today, a couple of random things to celebrate: Track and Field Olympic veteran, Bridget Franek, handily qualified in the Women's 3000M Olympic Trials Steeplechase final that will be on Thursday July 7th; (Go Bridget!!!); "The Best Daughter" and Liz helping clean and pack up TBD's bedroom as she inches closer to independence with moving out in two weeks; and a Big Happy 10th Birthday to Loo-C-Loo (AKA as BV or Black Velvet because her ears are just that soft!).

BSoleille! The bright side of independence, no matter how you get there!
