A daily record of gratitude; from quilting to photography to a mix of technology, books, movies and the musings of life!

Welcome to my Blog of my daily gratitude and photo of the day!

Since January 1, 2012, my goal is to write a daily sentence or two (or paragraph or two) about gratitude of the day and to include one photo (at least) that I took that day (but will add others from time to time). It has definitely been a challenge most days throughout the past eight years, and welcomed the challenge again this year - 2020 - Covid and all. I hope you will continue the ride with me!

Deadlines?

Today I, thankfully, finished "The Best Daughters's" high school and college soccer tshirt quilt. The "deadline" has certainly moved a bit for me (2010; 2015, and today!), but I do work best with one. And since she's moving out in four days, I finished just in the "nick of time" to have it be packed with all of her stuff to take with her this weekend! So in addition to the tshirts she wanted in the quilt, I also added the leather tongue of one of her favorite soccer cleats for a bit of nostalgia and interest. My saying about tshirt quilts, "If I can get a needle through it, I can use it!" And the best part... she loves it!

BSoleille! The bright side of an arbitrary deadline...
