A daily record of gratitude; from quilting to photography to a mix of technology, books, movies and the musings of life!

Welcome to my Blog of my daily gratitude and photo of the day!

Since January 1, 2012, my goal is to write a daily sentence or two (or paragraph or two) about gratitude of the day and to include one photo (at least) that I took that day (but will add others from time to time). It has definitely been a challenge most days throughout the past eight years, and welcomed the challenge again this year - 2020 - Covid and all. I hope you will continue the ride with me!

Hershey's Quilt Odyssey

Did you know "real men" go to quilt shows, and will cross state borders with their wives to attend one? That was the happening for us today, and I am thankful for the great company riding up to Hershey, PA, in an air-conditioned vehicle no less! Luckily, husband Bill already comes with a huge understanding of the passion and commitment that comes with the territory of making a quilt, so he was "right at home" oohing and awing at the beautiful quilts on display made by quilters from all over the world. In addition to that, he was also patient with me while I scurried through the merchant market to pick up a few needed items for my own quilting endeavors. And though I did not snap a photo of my "moved-to-Florida" friend, Mary Nielsen, who was at the show teaching classes, we had lunch together to catch up with her move and her "new life" in the Sunshine State.

BSoleille!
