A daily record of gratitude; from quilting to photography to a mix of technology, books, movies and the musings of life!

Welcome to my Blog of my daily gratitude and photo of the day!

Since January 1, 2012, my goal is to write a daily sentence or two (or paragraph or two) about gratitude of the day and to include one photo (at least) that I took that day (but will add others from time to time). It has definitely been a challenge most days throughout the past eight years, and welcomed the challenge again this year - 2020 - Covid and all. I hope you will continue the ride with me!

"Ten Years Post Transplant is Great"!

That is what Ryan's transplant doctor, Vinod Prasad, said to us in today's appointment at Duke University Hospital. Much of the results on the testing done today will trickle in, but his blood counts were great and other factors were normal as well. Everyone is thrilled where Ryan is today, and so are we (parents/sibling). It is almost exactly 10 years ago today we went to Duke (bringing his Georgetown doctor with us - Aziza Shad) to consult with them on Ryan's behalf of a Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant, and I am glad that is where we ultimately went for this life saving treatment.

BSoleille!  The bright side of almost 10 years post PBMT!
