A daily record of gratitude; from quilting to photography to a mix of technology, books, movies and the musings of life!

Welcome to my Blog of my daily gratitude and photo of the day!

Since January 1, 2012, my goal is to write a daily sentence or two (or paragraph or two) about gratitude of the day and to include one photo (at least) that I took that day (but will add others from time to time). It has definitely been a challenge most days throughout the past eight years, and welcomed the challenge again this year - 2020 - Covid and all. I hope you will continue the ride with me!

First Stop

The Wing Stop in Durham, North Carolina, was our first stop today as "we"/Ryan head into a round of appointments at Duke tomorrow. This particular Wing Stop is near and dear to our hearts because this was the very first "bite of real food" Ryan could eat after his Bone Marrow Transplant almost 10 years ago. I guess with all that treatment and blown out taste buds, the intense flavor (although not the atomic ones) of the wings was something Ryan could finally sink his teeth into, eat and like! And the funny thing, he is still eating wings today, lots of them at any restaurant we dine in.

BSoleille!  The bright side of bone in chicken wings!
