Since January 1, 2012, my goal is to write a daily sentence or two (or paragraph or two) about gratitude of the day and to include one photo (at least) that I took that day (but will add others from time to time). It has definitely been a challenge most days throughout the past eight years, and welcomed the challenge again this year - 2020 - Covid and all. I hope you will continue the ride with me!

50 Years

It seems like 2014 is a big year for 50. It was 50 years ago The Beatles debuted on Ed Sullivan; the last of the baby boomers turn 50 this year; my Crofton community also turns 50 this year and my "lovey" that I carried when I was a child is also 50 years old!  My favorite Aunt Mary bought "Fifi" for me in downtown Cleveland, Ohio, originally wanting to buy me a doll on this particular shopping trip.  I would hear none of that and wanted the stuffed dog instead that was displayed in the window of one of the major department stores of the day. I do not recall her being disappointed in that I did not get the doll she set out to buy me, but rather impressed that I named my dog after her poodle, of course named "Fifi"!

BSoleille!  The bright side of cherishing a childhood memory!
