A daily record of gratitude; from quilting to photography to a mix of technology, books, movies and the musings of life!

Welcome to my Blog of my daily gratitude and photo of the day!

Since January 1, 2012, my goal is to write a daily sentence or two (or paragraph or two) about gratitude of the day and to include one photo (at least) that I took that day (but will add others from time to time). It has definitely been a challenge most days throughout the past eight years, and welcomed the challenge again this year - 2020 - Covid and all. I hope you will continue the ride with me!

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

Yesterday, the first day of Childhood Cancer Awareness month, I did not post because we were out enjoying the day with our 5 time survivor, Ryan Tomoff! But, it is a sobering month honoring and making folks aware of those amazing kids and families in for the fight of their lives (or had fought as well!).

Truly, we are so grateful for each day, as we all should, despite whether our loved one has cancer or not, right? However, it's in the living and doing and being thankful for the small things in life that brings most of us joy. Life is hard, of course, but it's all about how we cope and get through the tough moments that makes those good days so sweet!

If you click on Ryan's FB post from yesterday here: https://www.facebook.com/rtomoff, the kick off September's Childhood Awareness Month, he eloquently states some of the sobering statistics along with a couple of photos from his battle.

My photos below are my kick-off of this month and shows the love that graced this young man from the beginning when he was diagnosed two years old until today.

BSoleille! The bright side of making each day count...
