A daily record of gratitude; from quilting to photography to a mix of technology, books, movies and the musings of life!

Welcome to my Blog of my daily gratitude and photo of the day!

Since January 1, 2012, my goal is to write a daily sentence or two (or paragraph or two) about gratitude of the day and to include one photo (at least) that I took that day (but will add others from time to time). It has definitely been a challenge most days throughout the past eight years, and welcomed the challenge again this year - 2020 - Covid and all. I hope you will continue the ride with me!

Indiana Dunes in Beverly Shores is AWESOME!

The newly minted National Park is located in and around Beverly Shores, Indiana, and it is terrific! If looking to get in some "close" National Parks in or near the Midwest, this one should be on the top of the list!

In April of this year, this 15,000 acre area in northwestern Indiana along the shore of Lake Michigan, was dedicated as the country's 61st national park; now called the Indiana Dunes National Park! (It was previously known as Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore). From sunup to sundown we enjoyed the day running, biking, hiking and enjoying the beach area (waves of Lake Michigan were as big as the waves Ocean City, Maryland today!

So thankful to hang with Rosalie Franek, Helen Gruneisen, Laura Murphy, Jodie Smith and our fabulous host for the weekend, Laura Hennessey. These amazing women are smart, funny, inspiring and energizing, and we make each other better through our lifelong friendships. Now that is something to be truly thankful for!

BSoleille!
