Since January 1, 2012, my goal is to write a daily sentence or two (or paragraph or two) about gratitude of the day and to include one photo (at least) that I took that day (but will add others from time to time). It has definitely been a challenge most days throughout the past eight years, and welcomed the challenge again this year - 2020 - Covid and all. I hope you will continue the ride with me!

Mixing it Up!

The season of baking (and cooking) is definitely upon us, and I have to give credit where credit is due to my mixer. I never had a big heavy duty counter-top mixer, rather a small hand-held one that I got as a wedding shower gift in 1987. I have certainly put it through the paces over the years, and want to give a shout of thanks to my cousin Maryjo Oliver (I remembered the gift giver for this one!), for showering me with this gift that keeps on ticking! No one would have ever thought this mixer would last 31 years, but it certainly has, and I am thankful for its every use, and helping me back delicious cookies and cakes!

And I am remiss in mentioning the passing of George H.W. Bush...may he Rest In Peace...
