A daily record of gratitude; from quilting to photography to a mix of technology, books, movies and the musings of life!

Welcome to my Blog of my daily gratitude and photo of the day!

Since January 1, 2012, my goal is to write a daily sentence or two (or paragraph or two) about gratitude of the day and to include one photo (at least) that I took that day (but will add others from time to time). It has definitely been a challenge most days throughout the past eight years, and welcomed the challenge again this year - 2020 - Covid and all. I hope you will continue the ride with me!

9/11/12

I know last year was the 10th anniversary of September 11th, but today felt eerily strange to me. I think because it is a Tuesday (like then) and the weather seemed identical to the one our lives changed forever 11 years ago today. I guess we will always remember where we were when the Twin Towers were hit, and I am very thankful to the US Military, search and rescue teams, police, fireman and all the heroes that came together that frightful day to assess and help in any fashion they could during the worst day in our country's modern day history.

We really live in a great country and I hope our safety will remain secure from sea to shining sea! My photo is a yard of USA printed fabric that I plan to use for backing on a charity quilt.

BSoleille!
