A daily record of gratitude; from quilting to photography to a mix of technology, books, movies and the musings of life!

Welcome to my Blog of my daily gratitude and photo of the day!

Since January 1, 2012, my goal is to write a daily sentence or two (or paragraph or two) about gratitude of the day and to include one photo (at least) that I took that day (but will add others from time to time). It has definitely been a challenge most days throughout the past eight years, and welcomed the challenge again this year - 2020 - Covid and all. I hope you will continue the ride with me!

Who is Up for a Challenge...a Quilt Challenge, That is?

Wendy Allen of the Southern Comforters Quilt Guild "knocked" it out of the park with her idea of this years' quilt challenge using unconventional materials (not quilting fabric!). Our guild's big reveal was tonight, and all I've got to say is that there are some unbelievably talented ladies and gentleman (Frank), who rose to the unconventional challenge!

This challenge is now open to any Maryland quilter, and the collected entries will be displayed and voted on at our annual show in March of 2019. If interested, please check out all the information on our website: http://southerncomforters.org/event/maryland-quilters-challenge/ or our Facebook page at Maryland Quilters Challenge! Think outside the box!

Challenge winners tonight were: Trish Rader (1st); Charlotte Abell (2nd) and Florence Marion (3rd). Congratulations to the winner and all participants!

BSoleille!

So sorry that I missed the meeting. Can't wait to see them in the quilt show in March.
