A daily record of gratitude; from quilting to photography to a mix of technology, books, movies and the musings of life!

Welcome to my Blog of my daily gratitude and photo of the day!

Since January 1, 2012, my goal is to write a daily sentence or two (or paragraph or two) about gratitude of the day and to include one photo (at least) that I took that day (but will add others from time to time). It has definitely been a challenge most days throughout the past eight years, and welcomed the challenge again this year - 2020 - Covid and all. I hope you will continue the ride with me!

Spy Thriller

Raise your hand if you ever been totally engrossed in a good book. You know the one - it captures your attention from the first page and doesn't let go. Also when you "daydream" intermittently throughout the day, your mind "races" back to the book, the characters, the plot. I am in the middle of that entire feeling while still reading; The Red Sparrow, by Jason Matthews. The novel was selected by my book club, and I am thankful that I started that first page because it's so good and I don't want it to end. My "strategy" is to read a few chapters a night...savoring the character development and the twists and turns the novel provides. At times I feel like I am transported to the cities and restaurants the author meticulously describes in the book because he doesn't miss any juicy details that relates to the story and wants his readers to stay "involved". That is certainly a craft for sure!

BSoleille!
