A daily record of gratitude; from quilting to photography to a mix of technology, books, movies and the musings of life!

Welcome to my Blog of my daily gratitude and photo of the day!

Since January 1, 2012, my goal is to write a daily sentence or two (or paragraph or two) about gratitude of the day and to include one photo (at least) that I took that day (but will add others from time to time). It has definitely been a challenge most days throughout the past eight years, and welcomed the challenge again this year - 2020 - Covid and all. I hope you will continue the ride with me!

Gold Medal Winner

While refereeing a couple of games of high school soccer at Broadneck High School in Annapolis, MD today, I couldn't help but notice the large stadium sign honoring Olympic Gold Medalist, Matt Centrowicz. He truly is a legend, and it's noteworthy to mention that at the Rio Games, on August 20th, 2016, he beat out Algeria's top runner, Taoufik Makhloufi, to win gold, a first for an American runner since 1908! That is a huge accomplishment, and am thankful to have watched it live last summer. It's terrific that his alma mater recognized the magnitude of this feat and put the sign up for all to to see!

BSoleille!
