A daily record of gratitude; from quilting to photography to a mix of technology, books, movies and the musings of life!

Welcome to my Blog of my daily gratitude and photo of the day!

Since January 1, 2012, my goal is to write a daily sentence or two (or paragraph or two) about gratitude of the day and to include one photo (at least) that I took that day (but will add others from time to time). It has definitely been a challenge most days throughout the past eight years, and welcomed the challenge again this year - 2020 - Covid and all. I hope you will continue the ride with me!

Glory Days...

Youth has an uncanny way of fast healing, and thankfully, Focused Warrior, Ryan Tomoff, is no exception! Today was a double appointment day starting with Dr. Aziza Shad (Hem/Onc) at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore and ending with Dr. Robert Ord/ Dr. Joshua Lubek (Maxillofacial surgeons) at University of Maryland Baltimore. Good lab (blood) results matched the good and solid healing of his tracheotomy scar, plus the skin grafts on his left wrist and left leg and neck. Ryan's speech has improved nicely, and his tongue has seen dramatic healing even with several stitches that the docs deemed "roughage" as they fall out naturally!

To celebrate this almost 5 week post surgery "milestone", we headed to Glory Days Restaurant and basked for a
moment in the "Glory" of the afternoon

BSoleille!
