A daily record of gratitude; from quilting to photography to a mix of technology, books, movies and the musings of life!

Welcome to my Blog of my daily gratitude and photo of the day!

Since January 1, 2012, my goal is to write a daily sentence or two (or paragraph or two) about gratitude of the day and to include one photo (at least) that I took that day (but will add others from time to time). It has definitely been a challenge most days throughout the past eight years, and welcomed the challenge again this year - 2020 - Covid and all. I hope you will continue the ride with me!

Nov End

It’s the end of November and it seems every where you look the holiday season has "snuck" up on us and it’s full steam ahead. Before it gets too crazy (weather mostly), I’m thankful to have gotten in a trip to visit with my Mom, along family and friends on a whirlwind few days here in Cleveland.

My photos give a glimpse into one outstanding day (I’ll even discount the snow and ice...)

BSoleille!

Breakfast with former coworkers at the State of Ohio with Pam Kaufman and Patti Lane.

A snowy hike with Rosalie Franek and Sunny the "cat dog". He meowed loudly when his paws got too cold (not kidding) while hiking with us! Last vestiges from the garden for our lunchtime salads (from greenhouse).25th Wedding Anniversary dinner with my sister Kimberly and bro-in-law, Jerry Kocan, at The District in downtown Cleveland before the big show of Harry Connick, Jr. Harry at the piano with a band of 11 members belting out the jazz! And when I heard the screaming of "Terri Nolan" at the State Theater, I turned around and there was Jason Fox and Cindy Anzalone Fox (Cindy and I were track teammates at Rhodes HS, and I’ve known Jason since he was 14 and we ran on the same summer track team...and I introduced the two of them). Married with 2kids today. Fun night!
