A daily record of gratitude; from quilting to photography to a mix of technology, books, movies and the musings of life!

Welcome to my Blog of my daily gratitude and photo of the day!

Since January 1, 2012, my goal is to write a daily sentence or two (or paragraph or two) about gratitude of the day and to include one photo (at least) that I took that day (but will add others from time to time). It has definitely been a challenge most days throughout the past eight years, and welcomed the challenge again this year - 2020 - Covid and all. I hope you will continue the ride with me!

Christmas in June?

Sure, why not? A present of an experience is what we gave Ryan for Christmas and he chose a trip to Texas (sister now lives here and he’s never been), so a good choice for all! We "loved" the extra hour and a half plane ride due to "weather" getting into Dallas, and thankfully they didn’t charge us extra!

A quick lunch in Dallas with "The Best Daughter" gave us just enough nutrition to hit this Texas road trip. First stop...Waco and Magnolia Silos of HGTV fame. We learned there are no long lines or lots of people clamoring to get in the place when your arrival time is 20 minute before closing. We practically had the place to ourselves to check it all out.

We finally arrived at our "final" destination in this part of the trip...Austin. We will hit this fine and eclectic city first thing in the morning.  Looking forward to browsing and checking out the downtown area and all the city had to offer.

BSoleille!
