A daily record of gratitude; from quilting to photography to a mix of technology, books, movies and the musings of life!

Welcome to my Blog of my daily gratitude and photo of the day!

Since January 1, 2012, my goal is to write a daily sentence or two (or paragraph or two) about gratitude of the day and to include one photo (at least) that I took that day (but will add others from time to time). It has definitely been a challenge most days throughout the past eight years, and welcomed the challenge again this year - 2020 - Covid and all. I hope you will continue the ride with me!

Ribbon Quilt Returned

The horse ribbon quilt made this past December, aptly named, "She's a Champion" was finally returned to its owner in Mt. Airy, MD. The young lady, Logan, who commissioned me to make the quilt for her mother, was an award winning equestrian in her youth, with literally hundreds of ribbons won with her horse named, Mikey.

My friend Wendy took the drive out with me, because it also turned out to be a fabric acquisition day when we stopped at a local quilt shop called Patches. And then there was the stop at a thrift store...with a real find of even more fabric (very very discounted and nice quality too!) So very thankful of some cool "new" fabric!

BSoleille!
