A daily record of gratitude; from quilting to photography to a mix of technology, books, movies and the musings of life!

Welcome to my Blog of my daily gratitude and photo of the day!

Since January 1, 2012, my goal is to write a daily sentence or two (or paragraph or two) about gratitude of the day and to include one photo (at least) that I took that day (but will add others from time to time). It has definitely been a challenge most days throughout the past eight years, and welcomed the challenge again this year - 2020 - Covid and all. I hope you will continue the ride with me!

Pyramids to Technology

I love technology, and our world has gained significant strides in a lot of areas in the last 30 years or so.  The World Wide Web certainly helped anyone who adopted the notion of instant knowledge in this ever changing computer world, and the mobile devices out now took it all to a new level entirely. Fascinating!  "They" say in 25 years we will not be using cash money, but payment for anything "bought" will be made through our phone or whatever the in vogue device will be in 2039.

But through time, there has been some pretty incredible things built without the use of a computer, or a mobile device or the World Wide Web to look up the "how to".  Think the pyramids, The Great Wall of China, European Cathedrals, and even the airplane the Wright Brothers developed. Good stuff!  Ideas are endless...
