A daily record of gratitude; from quilting to photography to a mix of technology, books, movies and the musings of life!

Welcome to my Blog of my daily gratitude and photo of the day!

Since January 1, 2012, my goal is to write a daily sentence or two (or paragraph or two) about gratitude of the day and to include one photo (at least) that I took that day (but will add others from time to time). It has definitely been a challenge most days throughout the past eight years, and welcomed the challenge again this year - 2020 - Covid and all. I hope you will continue the ride with me!

Fabulous Flower Power

Rain is everywhere these days, and not always welcome. It sure does a good job "greening" the lawns and gardens (positive thinking), and the flowers get plenty of water...but, it's been a little difficult with all the celebrations happening this spring and summer of 2019. I guess we all have to make the best of it and call it all "liquid sunshine."

Thankfully, the big old sun shined through two weekends ago on Kelleys Island. At a perfect moment in time when I walked up to the edge of one of Jodie Smith's flower gardens, this beautiful iris had the light shining on it "just right." I quickly took a photo of it and wanted to share it. No filter...just that natural sunlight coming off of Lake Erie for this handsome bloom!

BSoleille!
