A daily record of gratitude; from quilting to photography to a mix of technology, books, movies and the musings of life!

Welcome to my Blog of my daily gratitude and photo of the day!

Since January 1, 2012, my goal is to write a daily sentence or two (or paragraph or two) about gratitude of the day and to include one photo (at least) that I took that day (but will add others from time to time). It has definitely been a challenge most days throughout the past eight years, and welcomed the challenge again this year - 2020 - Covid and all. I hope you will continue the ride with me!

The Narrows in Zion

Typically, vacations should/would/could be considered oxygen to the soul. Maybe even, a peaceful sanctuary for some unbelievable moments in time.

Today's hike was met with all the above coupled with serendipity in meeting up with my good friend (and former college roommate), Rosalie Franek, and her daughter Bridget. A last minute trip West by Rosalie to meet up with her daughter driving across the country landed them in Zion at the same time as us, but only for this one day.

We could never have "planned" it, but it worked beautifully, and we all were so thankful that it happened as we waded and slipped through the waters of this "Wall Street" canyon. Stunning views all around.

BSoleille! The bright side of serendipity moments inside of Zion National Park!
