A daily record of gratitude; from quilting to photography to a mix of technology, books, movies and the musings of life!

Welcome to my Blog of my daily gratitude and photo of the day!

Since January 1, 2012, my goal is to write a daily sentence or two (or paragraph or two) about gratitude of the day and to include one photo (at least) that I took that day (but will add others from time to time). It has definitely been a challenge most days throughout the past eight years, and welcomed the challenge again this year - 2020 - Covid and all. I hope you will continue the ride with me!

Fantastic Camp Fantastic!

When my son, Ryan, was diagnosed this past May with his "new" malignancy of tongue cancer, the first thing he said when it was determined that he needed surgery to remove the tumor was, "I'm going to camp!!!" Just like that. I was like, hold on cowboy, but truth be told, secretly hoping that would be the case!

The healing process the past 11 weeks coupled with the power of camp, motivated Ryan beyond anything else. He did what the doctors ordered to do, and today made that statement come true! How-How!!

Camp Fantastic is definitely his happy place, as it is for so many kids battling cancer. http://www.specialove.org/camp-fantastic/
