A daily record of gratitude; from quilting to photography to a mix of technology, books, movies and the musings of life!

Welcome to my Blog of my daily gratitude and photo of the day!

Since January 1, 2012, my goal is to write a daily sentence or two (or paragraph or two) about gratitude of the day and to include one photo (at least) that I took that day (but will add others from time to time). It has definitely been a challenge most days throughout the past eight years, and welcomed the challenge again this year - 2020 - Covid and all. I hope you will continue the ride with me!

Mosi-Oa-Tunya...the smoke that thunders

The rest of the world knows these great falls as Victoria Falls, named after Queen Victoria of England by Dr. David Livingstone of Scotland in about 1850. Unbelieveable experience to be near and "on" the falls. This kind of thing would never fly in the USA, or any other country for that matter, because of the danger. (Devils Pool was closed because the water level was too high). But with the "level headed" guides, it felt not too dangerous to us...and we took the plunge...

I will hopefully be posting more photos and stories of this wild and adventurous trip in the days to come. I am so ever thankful for this opportunity, and if anyone reading this has any desire (even and inkling to stretch your comfort zone), or "need" to head to Africa, please come and experience this awesome continent to the best of your ability. You will never regret your efforts in making this trip, ever!

BSoleille! The bright side of wild and exotic Africa!
