A daily record of gratitude; from quilting to photography to a mix of technology, books, movies and the musings of life!

Welcome to my Blog of my daily gratitude and photo of the day!

Since January 1, 2012, my goal is to write a daily sentence or two (or paragraph or two) about gratitude of the day and to include one photo (at least) that I took that day (but will add others from time to time). It has definitely been a challenge most days throughout the past eight years, and welcomed the challenge again this year - 2020 - Covid and all. I hope you will continue the ride with me!

St. Baldrick's at Home

My son Ryan has been writing a paper and working on a speech for more than a week. The topic is late effects from Childhood Cancer, specifically, Leukemia, of which he is a survivor. He has diligently worked on the paper, but he is all about the speech, bringing it home with a PowerPoint of his journey. What makes it even better is his asking me to shave off what little hair he does have to make the impact for tomorrow's speech. He wanted to "authenticate" that look in which he sported for many years in his "youth" while he battled that fight to good health. Many organizations around the country are supporting the St. Baldricks buzz-a-thon, but Ryan did not want to wait a minute longer. I am thankful and proud of all his efforts and I hope his professor will feel the same.

BSoleille!  The bright side of "0" blade buzz cut!
