A daily record of gratitude; from quilting to photography to a mix of technology, books, movies and the musings of life!

Welcome to my Blog of my daily gratitude and photo of the day!

Since January 1, 2012, my goal is to write a daily sentence or two (or paragraph or two) about gratitude of the day and to include one photo (at least) that I took that day (but will add others from time to time). It has definitely been a challenge most days throughout the past eight years, and welcomed the challenge again this year - 2020 - Covid and all. I hope you will continue the ride with me!

Feed-sack Frenzy

A quilting friend who was in my first bee for 10 years cleaned out some of her sewing and quilting stuff and gave me 20 hand-pieced blocks a few years ago. Those blocks sat around in my sewing room, made no trouble at all and played nice with all the other fabrics competing for my attention. That was it until about three weeks ago. I decided to pull them out and play with them and find a configuration that would be pleasing using these old blocks.

I then purchased some "old timey" muslin at the Hershey Quilt Show, hand dyed some of it -cheddar- for corner stones and finished the top this afternoon. It just needs quilting.

BSoleille! The bright side of another finished top!
