A daily record of gratitude; from quilting to photography to a mix of technology, books, movies and the musings of life!

Welcome to my Blog of my daily gratitude and photo of the day!

Since January 1, 2012, my goal is to write a daily sentence or two (or paragraph or two) about gratitude of the day and to include one photo (at least) that I took that day (but will add others from time to time). It has definitely been a challenge most days throughout the past eight years, and welcomed the challenge again this year - 2020 - Covid and all. I hope you will continue the ride with me!

Blast from the Past

I like to post current things, but recently stumbled upon this photo of me and my Dad, John Nolan. So while in Cleveland last Saturday, my sister showed me a photo album from a benefit hosted on behalf of my son's cancer journey from January 2001. It was a bittersweet event for me, as I sadly left DC while Ryan was in the hospital, but overjoyed at the outpouring of love and support from so many family and friends who attended that evening-all to help Ryan and our family during difficult times. Wow, what a thankful moment and I am still grateful for that great night.

BSoleille! The bright side of "Throwback Thursday!"
