A daily record of gratitude; from quilting to photography to a mix of technology, books, movies and the musings of life!

Welcome to my Blog of my daily gratitude and photo of the day!

Since January 1, 2012, my goal is to write a daily sentence or two (or paragraph or two) about gratitude of the day and to include one photo (at least) that I took that day (but will add others from time to time). It has definitely been a challenge most days throughout the past eight years, and welcomed the challenge again this year - 2020 - Covid and all. I hope you will continue the ride with me!

World Cancer Day 2017

Today is a good day for me to update on "our" cancer warrior, Ryan Tomoff. He is just shy of four weeks post surgery from January 9th, and, thankfully, is doing quite well. Those first few weeks were for extensive sleep to heal the neck and all the incisions (subcutaneous stitches). Most importantly, he gains a bit of strength daily and has his rosy cheeks back once again! We are thrilled on how far he has come with three major surgeries in less than seven months. We can't thank enough all the prayer warriors worldwide that have lifted him in prayer throughout this wild and crazy journey. Our entire family is humbled by all these efforts in helping to get Ryan where he is today.

However, as today is World Cancer Day, my heart and hope is that anyone, worldwide, (cancer does not discriminate) fighting the good fight continue to do so with such fierceness that it leaves any cancer cells lurking around the body shaking in their "shoes", and then, BAM, they are destroyed and never to be seen again. That is my wish! It needs to be shouted from the rooftops around the globe!

Keep the Fight
Keep the Focus
Keep the Faith

BSoleille! The bright side of kicking cancer's a$$!
Terri
