A daily record of gratitude; from quilting to photography to a mix of technology, books, movies and the musings of life!

Welcome to my Blog of my daily gratitude and photo of the day!

Since January 1, 2012, my goal is to write a daily sentence or two (or paragraph or two) about gratitude of the day and to include one photo (at least) that I took that day (but will add others from time to time). It has definitely been a challenge most days throughout the past eight years, and welcomed the challenge again this year - 2020 - Covid and all. I hope you will continue the ride with me!

When Good Work is Done...

My kitchen renovation was done in the summer of 2014, but was never painted to "complete" the look. I did not get to it in 2014, nor 2015, and this year, I actually broke down and bought the paint this summer. And since that purchase of several gallons of paint at Sherwin Williams, I told myself (and family), almost weekly, that I will be painting the kitchen...soon. And since August, the weeks flew by with nary an inkling to tackle that job. What's a girl to do?

Well, I went back to the Crofton Sherwin Williams store last week, and asked the store manager, Alyssa Kozlowski, for some names of painters. I told her I "gave up" on doing it myself and needed suggestions on some good painters. She happened to give me the name of David Godwin, who had recently painted a project for Alyssa's grandmother, and did "good work". He was prompt, had fair pricing for the job, and is a friendly guy who did great work. So, thankfully, I made the call. We quickly scheduled a time for him to come out for an estimate, and I "booked" him on the spot.

David spent the past two days painting my kitchen...and more. Not only did he do a great job, he happened to "wash" out all the paint that we got on our clothes as we "gingerly" walked through the kitchen and brushed against the wet paint (it never looked wet!). Of course, our dog Loo-C was no exception to rubbing against the wet paint, and David took it in stride to wash off all the paint on her coat too!

If you are local, and need a painter, give David a call. Take the "angst" out of doing it yourself!

BSoleille!

Looks great! Glad you found someone to do it, can't wait to see it in person!
