A daily record of gratitude; from quilting to photography to a mix of technology, books, movies and the musings of life!

Welcome to my Blog of my daily gratitude and photo of the day!

Since January 1, 2012, my goal is to write a daily sentence or two (or paragraph or two) about gratitude of the day and to include one photo (at least) that I took that day (but will add others from time to time). It has definitely been a challenge most days throughout the past eight years, and welcomed the challenge again this year - 2020 - Covid and all. I hope you will continue the ride with me!

Capital Crescent Trail

I am thankful to have spent the day with Karen Leavitt, college track and cross country teammate from Bowling Green, who currently lives in Chicago. She is in town taking in the sites and we met up today (and last night for dinner) with an early morning bike ride on the Capital Crescent Trail. We started in Georgetown and headed north to Bethesda, then rode through DC and Arlington Cemetary. A beautiful day to be out and about for sure!

Another attraction by happenstance was taking in an exhibit at the Swedish Embassy (a textile exhibit at the House of Sweden) that was small, but got the chance to go up on the rooftop and take in the view of the city.

BSoleille!  The bright side of catching up with an "old" friend for a day!
