A daily record of gratitude; from quilting to photography to a mix of technology, books, movies and the musings of life!

Welcome to my Blog of my daily gratitude and photo of the day!

Since January 1, 2012, my goal is to write a daily sentence or two (or paragraph or two) about gratitude of the day and to include one photo (at least) that I took that day (but will add others from time to time). It has definitely been a challenge most days throughout the past eight years, and welcomed the challenge again this year - 2020 - Covid and all. I hope you will continue the ride with me!

Antique Quilt

I'm thankful I had the privilege to long-arm quilt an antique 1930's quilt lovingly hand pieced by Merle Covington of Pottsboro, Texas. She is the grandmother of my friend Margaret Walters, who mentioned that Ms. Merle was a wonderful country woman who worked hard into her late 70's. She died five years ago and would have been 100 this September!  Lots of wild colors in the quilt that could have been men's shirts and child clothing from a long ago time.

Now Margaret and her family have a great finished quilt and a peek into her grandmother's past.

BSoleille!
