A daily record of gratitude; from quilting to photography to a mix of technology, books, movies and the musings of life!

Welcome to my Blog of my daily gratitude and photo of the day!

Since January 1, 2012, my goal is to write a daily sentence or two (or paragraph or two) about gratitude of the day and to include one photo (at least) that I took that day (but will add others from time to time). It has definitely been a challenge most days throughout the past eight years, and welcomed the challenge again this year - 2020 - Covid and all. I hope you will continue the ride with me!

Hawaii Wrap Up

I believe that a vacation can be savored, with the memories stored away once there is some time and distance from that fantastic time away. So, too, with our family time in Hawaii this month, and Christmas in Cleveland on the heels of that trip. Now back from all the hoopla, we can sit back, think back, and remember those precious memories made on Oahu and Maui.

Photos really bring those memories to the forefront, and I'd like to share some of our favorites (and the photos of "The Best Daughter" and Ryan from their whale watching/swim with dolphins/snorkeling excursion in Oahu) that I did not have earlier.

End of years blessings and an heart full of gratitude while looking back; not only this month, but the entire year of 2019. A new decade looms ahead and I hope it's a grand one! What are "they" calling the 2010-2019 decade?

BSoleille!

The excursion photos were done by a professional photographer on the boat of the snorkel trip

Lots of "beached" turtles on a small beach in Paia (Maui)

Some super driftwood on Maui (this is on that small Paia Beach with "beached" turtles

A large field of sunflowers - we just had to stop after passing them many times going back and forth on Maui

Morning walk to snorkel on Kaanapali Beach Maui

Sunset in Maui

Sun is certainly bright; we can barely keep our eyes open for the photo op!

Kaanapali Beach (The Whaler Village is on the left of photo).

The wings were painted on the side of the building and I had to jump in for this photo op too!
