A daily record of gratitude; from quilting to photography to a mix of technology, books, movies and the musings of life!

Welcome to my Blog of my daily gratitude and photo of the day!

Since January 1, 2012, my goal is to write a daily sentence or two (or paragraph or two) about gratitude of the day and to include one photo (at least) that I took that day (but will add others from time to time). It has definitely been a challenge most days throughout the past eight years, and welcomed the challenge again this year - 2020 - Covid and all. I hope you will continue the ride with me!

Top Dog at TopGolf at the National Harbor

When son Ryan suggested to hubby Bill and me to check out the new TopGolf in Oxen Hill, Maryland (near the Gaylord Hotel and the National Harbor complex), on very warm Sunday afternoon, I might add (but I do like the heat), of course we said,"yes!"

This particular TopGolf extravaganza opened less than two weeks ago, and it was hopping this past Sunday. The entire concept of TopGolf, as Ryan so "eloquently" states, is really "a driving range on steroids." We could not agree more with that statement, but it's pretty darn compelling to go....and do. There are all kinds of games associated with the "driving range" concept, but super fun to pound one out a couple hundred yards, or chip a ball fairly close to the tee. It's all very interactive with the most recent technologies. So the three of us played for an hour and were very pleased with the entire time spent swinging the clubs provided for their guests, or if you prefer, you can bring your own to swing around the "course."

One of the coolest technologies located in all 102 bays, plus on all three levels is the TopTracer. Think PGA on TV, and this outstanding technology tracks the flight path of every golf shot and displays it right on the bay's HD screen. If you have not heard of TopGolf yet...I believe you will, since they are growing everywhere in most states. In this region (DelMarVa); "courses" are being built in Baltimore, MD and Ashburn, VA.

Lastly, we ordered food too, and everything was very good and delivered to our bay in a very timely manner with a polite staff every step of the way. A new wave of entertainment for the whole family!
