A daily record of gratitude; from quilting to photography to a mix of technology, books, movies and the musings of life!

Welcome to my Blog of my daily gratitude and photo of the day!

Since January 1, 2012, my goal is to write a daily sentence or two (or paragraph or two) about gratitude of the day and to include one photo (at least) that I took that day (but will add others from time to time). It has definitely been a challenge most days throughout the past eight years, and welcomed the challenge again this year - 2020 - Covid and all. I hope you will continue the ride with me!

What a Crowd at Kelleys Island

A strong finish to the Kelleys Island race weekend was the big crowd of rookies (Kocan family and Brian Phillips) and "oldies" (Tomoff/Misencik/Koehler/Smith/Murphy-Neal) completing either the 5K or 10K runs! One member of the "BG" tribe, Casey Neal, won the 5K race by a good margin! Fourteen others from our "tribe" finished the 5K with three tribe members running the 10K.  In addition to the big 5K win by Casey, hardware was also won by several of us: Jodie Smith, Laura Murphy, Bill Tomoff and Shana Koehler! And in the 10K, Olivia Tomoff, Brian Phillips and Mark Misencik! A beautiful day with brilliant sunshine and a slight breeze made running this morning so worthwhile! I am always grateful for this special weekend; however, am especially thankful for our hosts, Scot and Jodie Smith, who graciously open their home for 15 of us to share in rest and relaxation all weekend long. It simply can't be beat...

BSoleille! The bright side of being on 'island' time and sharing with family and friends, and still missing a few (Franeks!).
