Since January 1, 2012, my goal is to write a daily sentence or two (or paragraph or two) about gratitude of the day and to include one photo (at least) that I took that day (but will add others from time to time). It has definitely been a challenge most days throughout the past eight years, and welcomed the challenge again this year - 2020 - Covid and all. I hope you will continue the ride with me!

Stella Walsh Documentary

Today I stumbled on the "news" that I am a "principal cast member" of Rob Lucas's documentary on Stella Walsh. Stella was a legend in the sport of track and field back in the 30's and 40's, but ran under Poland, and not the USA. She coached me as a youth track athlete when I was a member of the Polish Falcons of America!

Stella Walsh was one of the most celebrated female athletes on the planet. She had thousands of medals, ribbons, honors and fans from around the world. Her popularity continued for decades after winning a gold medal in the 1932 Olympics, until she was killed in a robbery and it was discovered that she had ambiguous gender.
