A daily record of gratitude; from quilting to photography to a mix of technology, books, movies and the musings of life!

Welcome to my Blog of my daily gratitude and photo of the day!

Since January 1, 2012, my goal is to write a daily sentence or two (or paragraph or two) about gratitude of the day and to include one photo (at least) that I took that day (but will add others from time to time). It has definitely been a challenge most days throughout the past eight years, and welcomed the challenge again this year - 2020 - Covid and all. I hope you will continue the ride with me!

I have mentioned in previous posts that the games I play (mostly words with friends) and Netflix has substantially cut into my reading time. However, lately I am muscling through a book called "Down Range-Navy Seals War on Terror" by Dick Couch. He was a SEAL in Vietnam and has written several books on Navy SEALS that are excellent. I am really enjoying this particular book.

Today's SEALS are the epitome of a supercharged GI Joe, and all the Special Forces are working hard to keep America safe.  But these guys are simply amazing and I couldn't last a minute in any of their training sessions whether it be on land or sea!  I cannot believe how tough they are not only physically but mentally as well. Yowza!
