Everything's Coming Up....Mushrooms

I guess with all the rain, a plethora of mushrooms are sprouting everywhere, including my yard and many others. Some are so big I wonder if they are safe to eat? Nah, I best mow right over them and hope they will all "melt" away...

I've been told you shouldn't mow them but use gloves and pick them. Also, don't let your dog eat them.
