The streaming services like Netflix, Hulu, Disney + etc., are great to binge watch, as well as the biggie: NO commercials. I think having no interruptions is my favorite part of it all. On "regular" TV, I would catch various episodes of bygone shows like Seinfeld, I Love Lucy and M*A*S*H, but dislike the commercials immensely. Streaming services that buy into the older and much loved shows and, of course, don't waste my time, get my/our dollars. It's very difficult to go back to watching regular TV unless it's taped (I now do that to one or two of my favorites).
For now I'm thoroughly enjoying Seinfeld once again. Oh, I faithfully watched it every Thursday night from 10:00-10:30 PM, from 1989-1998 (9) seasons, but for the life of me, did not retain much from the individual shows. A couple of weeks ago I decided to start from the very first Seinfeld episode. I am currently in season 5. It seems all new to me, and funny as all get out. But it is the characters of Jerry, Elaine, George and Kramer what I remembered the most.
In the next week I plan to watch more episodes, plus a few Christmas movies and the new Beatles Documentary (finished Episode 1). I only watch TV at night. It truly relaxes me.
What will you watch over the holidays? Suggestions?
