Rocktober in the Grand Canyon

What a great way to start “Rocktober” by spending time with my quilting/sewing sisters and hiking in a bit into the Grand Canyon (lots of rock)! The skies could not be more blue, the rock in a multitude of colors, and the entire day to soak in the South Rim. I was thankful to get a little over a mile down on the Bright Angel, along with Karen Todd, and first timer to the Canyon, Susie Stevenson. They all did great and witnessed the majestic beauty this Wonder of the World has to offer anyone who sets eyes on it. We started by taking a "tram" to the Western End (Hermit's Rest); and at sunset, we scurried over to the Desert View Tower on the Eastern end of South Rim to see the sun sink into the horizon.

A huge thank you to Carrie and Paul Casto in welcoming us to their home in Prescott and “chauffeuring” us around the great state of Arizona!

Yesterday...we rode horses on a three hour trail ride with me on Chief, a wonderful horse for sure! Every vista seemed like we were in an old time spaghetti western and we all rode our horses like champion jockeys!

BSoleille!
Terri
