Rocktober continues on with a trip to "Red Rock Country" in Sedona, Arizona. There is something mystical or magical about this place and it never "gets old." The entire town is surrounded by the beautiful rock, and every time you look up and the sun moves ever so slightly, the view is changed...and then changed again. It seems that colors are so fantastical depending just how the sun beams down in every angle on them. In addition to Sedona, we started our trek there with quick stops in Jerome and Cottonwood, Arizona! All very lovely towns with cool facts about each of them.
Today we kept a lower profile and took a long walk around Linx Lake in Prescott, AZ. The brilliant October sunshine in this area of the Southwest cast an angelic glow over the gorgeous lake with its proud standing ponderosa pines encircling the entire lake and the mountains in the distance, much to our delight. Dinner in downtown Prescott rounded up our day on Whiskey Row (and channeled our inner pioneer days, as Prescott in known for as well as mining).
BSoleille!
